HERO has Launched the Xoom, a new scooter which debuts a new design and unique tech. Powering the Xoom is a 110.9cc motor which has been used in older models from the brand like the Maestro. It produces 8.0bhp and 8.7Nm of torque and comes with a start/stop function, which aids in efficiency and can be switched off. There is a telescopic front and a mono-shock rear suspension. The scooter gets a 190mm disc brake in the top-spec trim, and a 130mm drum at the rear, while the lower trims make do with drum brakes.
A unique feature on the Xoom are the cornering lights, which activate whenever the rider leans the scooter to one side, measuring the lean angle via a sensor. A digital instrument cluster has been added, which also comes with Bluetooth connectivity. Hero Xoom has been launched at an introductory price of INR Rs. 68,599 for the LX, Rs 71,999 for the VX and INR Rs 76,699 for the ZX (prices are ex-showroom).
